Endocannabinoid System Network
The endocannabinoid system is a network of cells thru our body that have receptors for CBD; in fact, there are more receptors for CBD in our body than any other kind of receptors. Endocannabinoid system is indeed the most extensive network of its type thru our entire physiology system along with other things Dr Mechoulam has also discovered we make our cannabinoids in our body this is Anandamide and 2AG. An Anandamide is something that we create when we are meditating and is called the bliss molecule and 2AG as well as an Anandamide is released in the mother’s milk when the child is breastfeeding, so there is no wonder why the child is so calm and happy when they are breastfeeding.

Presence Of CBD In Human Body

- CB1 – is mainly present in the brain and central nervous system, also, in the lungs, liver and kidney.
- CB2 – is mostly present in the spleen and immune system.
Those two receptors are designed to work with our Endocannabinoids produced by our body and with the cannabinoids produced by plants such as CBD and THC. CB1 and CB2 receptors have a fundamental function of either “excite” or “inhibit”, this process will determine how the body will regulate its system and other hormones. The Endocannabinoid System controls the hormonal system and keeps the balance in the body.
Instead of acting directly on the CB1 and CB2 receptors, CBD interacts and enhances with other signalling systems. It acts indirectly by stimulating the signalisation and activation of endogenous cannabinoids that work on both CB1 and CB2 receptors. In addition to CB1 and CB2, CBD also works indirectly on other receptors that mainly affect receptors such as serotonin, adenosine and vanilloid. Recent studies have shown how CBD is involved in the 5-HT1a serotonin receptor stimulation that is known to produce the antidepressant effect. This receptor is common to a wide range of other processes like appetite, the perception of pain, nausea, anxiety, and mechanisms of addiction.
Non – Psychoactive
CBD is non – psychoactive because it does not work along the same lines as THC. One of CBD’s effects is that it moderates THC’s effects. It actually, knocks THC off the CB1 receptor, a strong dose of CBD can counteract these effects if someone is experiencing THC intoxication. Researchers find that the symptoms of many diseases and pathological conditions can be alleviated by modulating the Endocannabinoid system. Conditions like multiple sclerosis, cancer, stroke, obesity, metabolic syndrome, anxiety disorders, neuropathic pain, Huntington’s disease, glaucoma, seizure disorders, Parkinson’s and osteoporosis are just a sampling of the symptoms of the illness that CBD can help you with.

Side Effects Of CBD
